There are two types of pain: acute pain and chronic pain. <\/span>Acute pain<\/b> is short-lived, reversible and due to a specific cause. This pain is found in certain post-operative situations, such as after surgery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Chronic pain<\/b> lasts at least 3 months, is difficult to interpret<\/span> because the cause is not always known and can be morally and physically intrusive for the <\/span>patient<\/b>.
