The NRFit\u00ae standard, ISO 80369-6<\/strong>, is a passive safety measure designed to secure the medication administration process for neuraxial and perineural routes. This new connector system is physically distinct\u2014with a smaller diameter and increased length compared to the Luer connector\u2014making cross-connections impossible.<\/p>\n

The primary goal is to reduce the risk of route administration errors<\/strong>. Every department and specialty is affected by this new directive\u2014Anesthesiology, Neurology, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Pain Management, and Surgery\u2014all must prepare for this transition.<\/p>\n
