The ANI V2 monitor calculates the Analgesia Nociception Index (ANI) from a cardiac signal, and more specifically from the parasympathetic component of the autonomic nervous system.
ANI is expressed as an index from 0 to 100;
- Between 50 and 70, it makes the occurrence of an episode of haemodynamic reactivity within the next 10 minutes unlikely;
- Below 50, it makes the occurrence of an episode of haemodynamic reactivity within the next 10 minutes very likely
