What are injections?

Injections are a non-surgical treatment option, similar to nerve blocks (e.g. steroid injections, anaesthetic injections, Botox injections). They are commonly used to treat chronic pain after other non-surgical measures, such as medication and/or physical therapy, have been tried without success. Before considering surgery, injections are used to relieve pain and help determine the source of the patient’s pain.

Why use them?

Today, ultrasound-guided injections for chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries are increasingly used by healthcare professionals because they offer a number of advantages:
