Additional information
Information | Two sources of cold: CRYO-S Painless® operates on carbon dioxide: CO2 (-78°C) or nitrous oxide: N2O (-89°C). Highly effective, easy-to-use gases are generally available in hospitals for laparoscopy or general anaesthesia. |

Benefits | Touch screen:Cryoprobe mode, starting and stopping the freezing process can be enabled by a foot pedal or touch screen, allowing the procedure site to be kept sterile.Integrated neurostimulation:Neurostimulation for diagnostic purposes is recommended for percutaneous procedures. It allows sensory nerves to be distinguished from motor nerves and the tip of the cryoprobe to be positioned correctly on the nerve. It is recommended when performing percutaneous cryoanalgesia under ultrasound, X-ray and CT scan.Voice communication:Integrated voice communication for easy device control. A system for reporting essential data (duration of the procedure, device status) during the procedure allows total control without having to take your eyes off the treatment area.Electronical communication (RFID):Electronic communication between the cryoprobe and the device enables the optimum operating parameters to be identified and automatically configured to obtain the best cryoanalgesia performance. No manual adjustment of the freezing process is required when preparing the cryoprobe for treatment or during the procedure. |

Extra | Single-use cryoprobes Six echogenic probes for cryoanalgesia The CRYO-S Painless® system offers 6 different probes, with specific features that make them highly adaptable to targeted treatments. The cryoprobes, with their special, design allow precise freezing and rapid thawing. They have a medical Teflon coating so that neurostimulation is only effective on the tip of the probe. All cryoprobes are echogenic (visible under ultrasound) for more precise action. Cryoprobes are easy to connect with an integrated safety system and feature an ergonomic handle and a 1,4 m cable for greater freedom of movement and manoeuvrability for the practitioner during patient treatment. Cryoprobe with bevelled tip + The CRYO-S Painless® system offers two probes with bevelled tips, enabling a drop-shaped ice ball to be formed during freezing. They are designed for cryoanalgesia of the face, such as the supraorbital, infraorbital, intraoral, auriculotemporal, occipital areas. Both have a diameter of 20G and an active tip of 7 mm, they differ in length. One has a total length of 20 mm and the other has a total length of 90 mm, and is supplied with an introducer. Round-tip cryoprobe + The CRYO-S Painless® system features a round-tip probe, which creates a round ice ball during freezing. It is designed for cryoanalgesia of peripheral nerves and facets in the cervical region. With a diameter of 16G and an active area of 7 mm, its total length is 120 mm and it is supplied with an introducer. Triangular-tip cryoprobes + The CRYO-S Painless® system offers three triangular-tip probes, enabling an elliptical-shaped ice ball to be formed during freezing. The first is designed for cryoanalgesia of peripheral nerves and facets in the cervical region. With a diameter of 16G and an active area of 7 mm, its total length is 120 mm and it is supplied with an introducer. The second is designed for cryoanalgesia of peripheral nerves and thoracic, lumbar and sacral facets. With a diameter of 12G and an active zone of 10 mm, its total length is 150 mm. The third is designed for cryoanalgesia of the sacroiliac joint. With a diameter of 12G and an active zone of 45 mm, its total length is 150 mm. Its anatomical shape and the length of its active zone allow homogeneous ablation, without cryogenic gaps. |
